A wonderful fine and elegant nose with a red and black fruit note. The palate is soft and supple with enveloping tannins and fresh acidity surrounding the ripe fruit. There is lots of concentration and complexity in this wine; it still has much to give.

Marcel Dassault bought Château Couperie in 1955. This visionary captain of industry already knew that this estate, which he renamed after himself, would become a renowned wine and powerful promotional tool strategically harnessed to all the activities in his group.
The estate soon benefited from the finest facilities and saw the quality of its wine improve over the years.
In 1969, the estate archieved the true rank that Marcel Dassault had hoped for it, when it was awarded its distinction of "Grand Cru Classé", which it continues to hold.
