The MIRAGE F1 was designed like a general-purpose fighter. The F1 C version, optimized for all weather missions not carrying an air-to-ground armament was, in the Eighties, the principal instrument of the air défence in France. The prototype of the MIRAGE F1 flew on December 23rd, 1966 and the first F1 C flew on February 15 1973.
The F1 C200, modernization of the F1 C is equipped with a pole of in-flight refueling and the F1 R of recognition entered in service the Air Force in 1983.
Realized with the assistance of the French Air Force, the Historical Service of the French Air Force and Dassault Aviation, this film of 50 min shows the last missions accomplished by these planes.
